Council of Beni Suef University approves the establishment of a headquarters for the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta at the university to serve the Suwefi community

The Council of Beni Suef University, headed by Prof.Dr/ Mansour Hassan, the university president, approved, in its 201st session, in the presence of the university’s vice presidents, deans of faculties and members of the council, the proposal of the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology to establish a headquarters to establish a permanent headquarters, equipped to become the headquarters of the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa at the university, to serve the whole Swuefi community
Dr. Mansour said that the university received a delegation of the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta, headed by Dr. Ali Omar, Director General of the General Administration for the Exploration of Crescent Moons and Timings, and a number of young scholars of Dar al-Ifta to visit the university and the College of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology
During the visit, introductory lectures about the college and the capabilities of the college’s telescope and  its laboratories were presented to serve the purposes of forensic astronomy and spread scientific awareness. Then the delegation visited the college and learned about the college’s laboratory and human capabilities
The president of the university pointed out that the College of Navigation Sciences is one of the unique colleges of its kind in the Middle East and has many modern laboratories that keep pace with the global development in the field of space sciences, stressing that the protocol with Dar Al Iftaa aims to enhance cooperation in the fields of exchanging scientific and technical expertise between members of the university and experts at Dar Al Iftaa in many fields, especially general astronomy, forensic astronomy and space technology and work on their settlement, development, exchange of privileges between the two parties, implementation of research projects and joint study programmes, and preparation for holding a number of training courses concerned with issues of forensic astronomy  and space technology, as well as combating Star issues and intellectual extremism
