Visit of students of the Applied Science Program for Space and Navigation to the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan - President of Beni Suef University - and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Zahran, Head of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, and Prof. Sameh Al-Maraghi - Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development - Prof. Osama Shalabia - Dean of the College - and under the supervision of Prof. Heba Abdel Halim - Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development - and Dr. Mohamed Murad - Coordinator of the Applied Sciences Program for Space and Navigation - and Dr. Ahmed Aboul Fotouh, Supervisor.
Within the framework of activating the cooperation protocol between the College of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology and the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, a delegation of students from the College of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology in the first year of the Applied Sciences Program for Space and Navigation paid a training visit to the headquarters of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, on Wednesday 29 September 2021.
The visit began with Dr. Ghada - head of the training sector at the authority - receiving the delegation of the college, then an introductory lecture about the authority, as well as a visit to the authority's laboratories to find out the latest laboratories in the field of remote sensing, then a visit to the VR lab where students were introduced to the virtual reality academy about the types of satellites and its main parts. As well as spreading awareness and culture of space technology and sensing. the students were divided into groups and made a simulation of designing and launching a small satellite (CubeSat) and training in the analysis and decoding of digital data.
the college delegation extended its sincere thanks to the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences for the warm reception and the great benefit from the visit and the emphasis on completing the activation of visits and training programs during the coming period, God willing.
